bummer. i've never been involved in any kind of live draft before, does this happen often?

To answer Frank's question... this kind of delay is not uncommon in these types of drafts; you have work, travel issues and then of course some have internet access at either work or home only and cannot access throughout the day.

I know it's difficult to be patient when you are eager to make your next pick, but I find these generally worth the trade-offs, IMHO.

My apologies. Had to go out of town to take my mother to her doctor today, and this completely slipped my mind. Call it a senior moment on my part. Hopefully this can proceed now as smoothly as I see it got started. 8-)

thanks for the clarification. i didnt mean to imply impatience in the process, just the pleasant surprise that there is flexibility instead. i previously stayed away from the live draft format because i had assumed that the drafts were conducted more in a structured time constrained way and it would be difficult for me to find a block of time to devote to something like that. i am relieved to see that the drafts can be conduted in a more loose, user-friendly style
