I think your filters should be mostly checkboxes. Except for errors, I think you're looking at fairly discrete ranges.
A filter for plate appearances would also be nice.
I would also suggest having different filters for pitchers. ;)

How about showing us the number of DP chances on the pitcher and hitter cards? Also, it would be nice to have a double play tracker in both the pitchers and hitters simulated stat package.
Finally, how about having more options to customize leagues? For example, while I really like the Negro League cards, I don't think the Negro League card set should be part of the post WWII subset, as Jackie Robinson broke the "color barrier" in 1947 and the entire Negro League card set is based upon stats that arose well before 1947. Plus, as a huge baseball fan all my life, I more readily identify with the players who have played during my lifetime.
A toggle on/off button for using the Negro league set when a league is created would give us more options for customizing leagues. The default mode could be for inclusion.
If done correctly, there could be any number of league customization options, limited only by the imagination of the online community.
