NLD Twenty-Nine!

[quote:f67f2dc7b1="ArrylT"]Thnx for that sweep smokee. :) That plus my sweep gives me a bit of breathing room.

In fact, with 12 games left, almost all the playoff spots are close to being secured. Jeeps won his last year in fact. ;)

Could be some last min surprises - but with no playoff spot with less than a 5 game lead with only 12 to go ...[/quote:f67f2dc7b1]

Yeah I was coming on strong only to put down. Oh well.

Well now that my series win streak ended I can finally comment on it without fear of jinx lol.

21-6 over 9 days - definitely a huge streak at just the right time. And with smokee sweeping DT a night after sweeping nythawk, have an 8 game lead with 9 to go.

Jeep wins 100+ games - kudos! With an outside chance at 110! And with no one able to get 100 losses even more impressive and maybe only 1-2 90 game losers.

DT is having a rough week :o

All divisions have now been officially clinched - down to Stoney & keyzick for WC and the right to face off against Jeep in the Playoffs. :o

At the rate smokee is playing I may have to name him my MVP.

Congrats to the Playoff teams and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Interesting to note, we won our last five series when Werth caught fire and raised his average by 20 points. Pujols still finished at .217 v RHP for me, :( but at least we didn't lose 100 games. Almost caught Silver for next to last, but fell a game short.

Definitely one of the most snakebit teams I've ever had. This team may not have been great, but I think it was better than it finished. <sigh>

Good luck to you guys in the playoffs, I'll post some more soon.

The worse your teams perform the better the SF teams seem to do. ;)

How about them 49ers?

Ok, some quick comments on the playoffs:

Big M v AT

Ratings in Miller
Big M 2539
AT 1731

US Cell
Big M 2320
AT 2111

Expect AT to play Big M closer at home, but Big M still has a big advantage. Big M squeeked out a couple at home last night. Be interesting to see what happens to night. Big M went 8-4 in the regular season.

Ratings would seem to project a Big M win in six games, but AT has defied the ratings in two straight NLDs now.

[b:4707111065]Jeep v Stoney [/b:4707111065]

HUGE Challenge for Stoney taking on the awesome Jeep machine that won an amazing, record shattering, 105 wins and won the divsion by 25 GAMES. Amazing stats for the NLD.

Jeep you had a great run. Congrats! Now, the question is.... did you use it all up in the regular season???

Ratings in GAP: Jeep 2328, Stoney 2490
in Yankee: Jeep 2406, Stoney 2805

Ratings would indicate that Stoney has the advantage, but that doesn't jive with the results posted by Jeep this year. He took 7 of 9 from the Stoneman during the regular season.

The two teams split last night so we'll see how they do in Stoney's park tonight.

Ratings would project a Stoney win in 7, but Jeep laughed all the way to a record setting season vis-a-vis the ratings so what do the ratings know. (The ratings *did* however project a runaway first place finish for Jeeper)

All I have time for now.

I've outhit him but he still has scored one more run than me. New strategy - put them on the IR. Murphy and Cervelli are out for the series and I got Konerko out for a few games.
