Rburgh wanted Joe Jackson and Ed Delahanty.

What are we doing?
I can probably put RBurgh in instead of Weinberg or Teamsters but not both...
Really just a big let-down to me.

Skinnerian Box?
only participate under conditions which one person controls?
I just dont get it...So now, I assume this means that someone will take Murray first in every low-cap draft????
UGH- how silly. Suddenly there are no other good choices?

Well, let me know what we are doing...

Weinberg: Your beef is not with Petrosian's use of Super-R strategy. Your beef is essentially with ATG not having innings limits. And with Petro not adhering to your specific sense of honor.

Do you know why southern states have higher per capita murder rates than northern states... culture of honor is the explanation I've heard. If you want some heavy reading (and to know why I won't live south of the Mason-Dixon again ;-) ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_of_honor_%28Southern_United_States%29

Back to you. Your sense of honor is offended by something that you consider (subjectively) less than honorable. That is not objectively cheating or even objectively gaming the system.

How bout this...
(and I dont wanna put words in anyone's mouth- its just me saying this)

We start the draft over, same order, or not I dont care-
Weinberg will have to agree not to bow out for any reason- but since he deems murray to be the single most important player in the draft; should he pick first, he can choose him- or anyone else can for that matter.

Im still shaking my head over this-
to me its absolutely ridiculous, but whatever, lets go forward with the original plan...and play the game. Repeat GAME GAME GAME (not real-life)

Weinberg? Pet? anyone else- does that work?

PS- we will replace Teamsters with RBurgh- and how bout we try and have it finished by Friday so we can start next week?

If we do a new DD draft, I think we should have right of first refusal on the players we drafted in the first round of the other DD draft.

Also, we need to get this thing [b:bc8c31117e]moving[/b:bc8c31117e], or OakAth72 will be out due to a hospital stay.

Yep, I will be at the hospital starting at midnight tonight and will be there until my son is born. I might have access to the site dependent upon the hospitals wifi situation. Either way, if we get the ball rolling soon I can proxy most of my picks. Not opposed to bumping it to 100 mil either. I'll be unavailable for the next couple of hours but will check back soon with everyones decision.

Salt. I like andy's idea. Right of first refusal if we redo without weinberg. If he's is in just continue the draft with #11 making his second round pick.

But I haven't heard him say he is in so we need at least one replacement. Teamsters says he is sorry but he is out.

My thinking was to try and get the original thing back together with Weinberg- and PKB replacing teamsters.

Otherwise we should probably just start fresh and get whichever 12 people want to sign up in whatever order-

I do understand if as both you and Andy C have expressed that you want your first picks the same- I really dont blame you; just trying to salvage something of what we first signed up for- which was the rivalry-

I PM'd Weinberg in hopes that he'd stick around..... No reply, after 11 picks in a live draft HE requested there are already too many trump cards other teams have picked that he can't overcome......

Speaking of trump cards, if Weinberg's out what are we doing about Pedro? If he really is running away I say we replay every pick since his....

This guy is seriously unbelievable, he talk's about "playing like a man" and then quits before the league finishes 1 round: not a man move

Holds the league hostage while he cryptically blabbers about the validity of his pricing system instead of answering whether or not he's still in the league: not a man move

After saying he'll maul Petrosian in this league (oh yeah there are 10 other okay managers in this league) and prove his superiority he instead decides to wait until the Barnstormers Finals to prove he's better than Petro. As we all know the plaoffs are a crap-shoot so Petro is very likely to NOT make the finals even if he wins 105 games. Weinberg would love nothing more than Petro missing the finals, it'll give himself a big fat * in the rivalry. In the finals, Weinberg says he'lll pick Murray (the illegal, immoral player that started all this) and cheat in his own mind: not a man move

You know the more I think about it, the more I think Weinberg is just messing with us.. EVERYTHING he says he eventuall contradicts. Oh yeah he's probably also 13.
