Invitational league: Weinberg vs Petrosian

Postby The Last Druid » Tue Jan 24, 2012 12:58 pm

rburgh has replaced teamsters if this goes anywhere. PKB is welcome to replace Weinberg. Personally I'd rather just take the managers we have and do an autodraft. We could get Nev then too. Weinberg's the one who insisted on the dd draft.

That's true about the crapshoot. I estimated my odds of winning the BS semi league before the season started as 1 in 5, only because you can't even guarantee a playoff spot. But now I think my odds are maybe 1-4 of making the finals, even if the team does win 105. At this point though, I feel confident I'll at least make the playoffs.

I've said all along Weinberg is a tourist. Only yesterday did I realize how true that is. He only thinks that the Barnstormers Tour matters. Sad to say the pun was not intentional. It would have been really clever it it were.

at this point Id prefer to just do a regular draft-

I really like the DDope draft a TON, but its getting to be a bit too much.

Still just SMH-
a lot of trash talking took place, I just dont see the goods-

and whats interesting is that now I see why the Gates Brown defense happened...conveniently selective Ethics. :x

I don't think he even knows when he contradicts himself.

PKB is not in the quality of the rest of the league. Massively not. Aspiring towards, but not there yet.

@Weinberg: A Man is honest about his limitations and unafraid to admit them.

Current 1-8 against Petro in BS Semis league. Ugly.

yeah 2-4 here against him in that league. terrible unfocused teambuilding strategy. Won 7 series in a row, but slow going. wont have the juice to the end.

one thing about petro as opposed to many of the other top managers by volume (and by win %), is he helps anybody and everybody. every time. i respect that. i don't have to agree with his opinions to respect him. I said by volume because high volume players have more at stake to be honest.

rickey says rickey still the best.

Rickey still right. Rickey still the best. But one wonders if his career would have more value (but fewer stolen bases) batting in the 3 hole or the 5 hole.
