Invitational league: Weinberg vs Petrosian

Postby nels52 » Wed Jan 25, 2012 10:24 pm

[quote:39b2499e9f="OakAth72"]I'm back.........Jackson Tyler born today 1:30 pm 6lbs 13 oz and a future Strat player if Strat has a future.

Now for my question. I have done DD drafts before but this was the first time I drafted players through proxy. I had Willie McGee on my list and Nels drafted him on the very pick before he would have hit my proxy. Nels subsequently dropped McGee for Rogan but in doing so it also wiped him from my proxy list. McGee would have been my next pick and Nels picked him up a couple of rounds later. [/quote:39b2499e9f]

First of all congrats on your son!!!! I'm happy to hear that everything went great.

Now to strat, if you had McGee as a proxy he's yours. I grabbed him accidently a few rounds earlier than I wanted. Without trying I did one heck of a shady draft move. I feel bad about this so he's yours.

[quote:56f352d5c6="Petrosian"]I know, and then 68 more until he's 18.

I always thought this stuff was crap. But then my pit bull died at age nine from an autoimmune disease he got from combination vaccines. My two golden retrievers now get only rabies shots. They are both 8 and in perfect health.[/quote:56f352d5c6]

That's some pretty scary information, especially the mercury based vaccines. The school systems handcuff you because they won't admit your child without a full shot card. The best we could do is let the brain develop vaccine free for the first two years and then run the gambit of shots in year three to meet County requirements. Definitely going to let my better half read this and let her call the shots........thanks again.

Thanks Nels. If he fits your team, keep him. There is enough talent out there for me to replace him. The irony here is that even though I had him fairly high on my proxy I was about 99% sure that no one would take him. I am going to have to keep my eye on you. :wink:

I use McGee a lot at 100 mil and he can produce...speed and average. Never used him at 80 and was curious to see what he can do.

Thanks Nels, if you truly are going to drop him then I am forced to take him. Especially since plan B just got drafted a couple of minutes ago.

Like the "call the shots" pun. Always appreciate a good pun.

You can still get a medical exemption in all 50 states. 46 states allow a religious exemption and 19 allow a philosophical exemption. Which means if you have any one of the three, schools can't refuse to admit your child. Federal law.

If anyone is planning on dropping someone- please let us know who it is-
so we can keep track...
otherwise we'd have to keep looking at everyone's card every pick;
although Id probably know something changed just because I updated...

thanks,

Salt
