PKB--would not vote for her, but "effing moron" is definitely not the case.

I wouldn't consider my wife or my mother one, yet they have far less "credentials".

I also would not vote for a community organizer turned part time 2-yr senator turned president, just because he was a good law student. But I don't disparage those who did, and I also don't think that means he is any less qualified--in fact no less qualified than any of us. That's the way the rules were written, and that's how it should be. Intellect has never been a sufficient determinant of a competent elected official.

Our govt's elected positions have become far too lucrative.

If there were no TV and no internet, only written word and face-to-face contact, I betcha (sic) there would be different opinions on many folks.

A moron is then a qualification of many in office, Sheila Jackson Leigh honestly insisted there are two Vietnams, north and south...

The president mistakenly referring to "57 states"...obviously it's nonsensical to think he seriously meant there were 57 states. Kind of like when I call my daughter by my wife's name. Does that make him a moron? and he benefits from a massive speechwriting and research team...it happens. He's still a brilliant man.

But Lee was serious. Pelosi, Boxer, Reid also unqualified by these standards. They usually have their gaffes unpublicized...have to catch it in real time on C-Span because they share the same politics as most of the major media moguls. Shaping the news headlines is a full time job at Google news, but I still use it.

So, sorry but no, I won't succumb to saying she is an "effing moron" out of some kind of irrational, visceral hate for someone who could be my sister; and made contributions to society as a private citizen, and also did a damn good job as a governor. Man, I don't even hate on Michael Moore or Sheila Lee that way, and they really don't like America.

Now, to give equal time, let's identify an un-moron...Secretary Clinton.

Based on my derivative research and writings, I believe she (and her chosen staff) is the single most important reason recovering our foreign policy from the fits and starts it had the first two years of the presidency. And fits and starts is a gentle way for international relations scholars to call the president's foreign policy "moronic". It is not so now, and was helped by finally publishing a NSS in 2010.

Anyway, I had the pleasure of witnessing Hillary CLinton's presence in a senate proceeding...she exuded competence, confidence, was punctual, prepared, and commanded the room. She didn't have to say to the General "call me Senator". The respect was implied. And she deserved it.

Yes, Gov Palin is no Clinton--but most of us aren't. Doesn't make us "effing morons".

which is why I mentioned ms. palin, who I believe is widely thought of as not being too bright.

Lets not make this into an ongoing debate of right vs left, even with equal time.
There is a bullpen for that.

This is a debate on Beer qualities and Cat/Bat women.

Less filling. An interesting idea.

Basically saying that lite beer will enable you to consume more beer, to get beyond the drunkeness/fullness barrier, without stepping up to malt liquor or beyond. If you consume more, you are buying more. The standard six that used to eat like a meal can now be two sixes. And the beer company could even charge you a premium for the privilege.

I find less filling to be a dubious benefit.

I find tastes great to be a stretch of the truth at best.

I have to agree; Im not sure what the point of needing to consume a greater amount of beer before you are full is-
other than needing to therefor purchase a greater amount.

...and tastes great is more than a slight bit dubious.

Tons of better beers on the market...
and few needed to enjoy a catwoman. (imo of course)

I have to counter my own factual with the idea that in 1973 when "Lite Beer from Miller" was launched (after Miller bought MeisterBrau which had sold a "Diet Beer" since 1963), there weren't a whole lot of better beers. I don't remember, since I was busy being born and all, but in the heyday of "Tastes Great, Less Filling" Heineken and Michelob were about as good as it got... I mean seriously, Coors passed as an exciting product of limited availability, and thus high desirability. Coors. Highly Desirable.

I have a friend who says his favorite beer is Free Beer. His second favorite beer is Free Coors.
