Here is my created Strat-O Vince Coleman card for 1st SSN

I did two versions. I like the way these came out. Any feedback? I like the 2nd one shown. I think it looks like a real card. But I wanted at least one of him sliding. I don't think the 1st one came out as cool as I hoped.

I just drafted him for my 3rd season as well which is why I thought I'd make a card and then update the stats after the next season.

I know these cards are pointless but if anybody has a request for one just tell me the player and give me a link to their stats and I'll make one for you. I made the Baristas Logo for my team that you can see inside the Baseball but I'm not really good at Logo's. I'll just use the Logo for your players real club on your card. If you want additional writing like "MVP" or something on it just let me know.

I think they're both great, and I endorse your passion, ambition and creativity! Baseball is great!

My fave all-time player is Roy White, should you ever feel so moved.

I like them both for different reasons.

I wonder if you could do this for Stratomatic.

No, I couldn't I don't actually have any skill. I am using templates and making changes for fun. I don't have very strong photoshop skills at all. I am just looking for images online, putting them in a template and making changes and adding things. The templates are all based on different Topps baseball cards of years past before I make my changes.

He is just a pinch runner for me. I like having a burner off the bench. My first season I won a game where I was down 2-1 in the bottom of the 8th against Mike Scott and Coleman actually pinch ran at third with one out and stole home to tie the game. i won the game in extras. I probably won 3 games that season just due to his pinch running. When it comes to cost of victory obviously $0.18 i outstanding when your payroll is $80. Last season I used a few different pinch runners and didn't get quite the production I wanted out of it.

I try to get him every season. The season I had Coleman I had Dave Henderson get hurt and then made a stupid roster move and that forced Coleman to play way more than I every meant for him to. I now have Rice in LF, Lynn in CF, and Gwynn if RF. Otis Nixon can play all 3 spots well and is my emergency injury reserve. Coleman is literally just there to pinch run in big spots.

15 clutch SB's is what I'm gonna ask this coming season. I laughed last season at the guy who drafted him high and wouldn't trade him. He batted leadoff and scored less than 90 runs for the season because he is never on base. If he pinch runs for me 50 times that is almost a third of the times he would be on base in 600 AB's if I started him lol.

I agree, that is the perfect role for him. I grew up in Missouri in the 70's-80's so I watched Vince play a lot. He was fun to watch in his early years when he was running wild and seemed to actually care about winning and improving.

Somewhere along the line he started to regress (maybe when he "allegedly" started using drugs) and was basically a negative player to have on a team.
