Hey Peter, as I drove around town, I realized I was probably curt in my reply (again). I understand you are relatively new to keeper leagues and you are just trying to protect everybody's rights.

On the other hand, Ray is a veteran keeper league manager (as are most of those in this league) and is well aware that he could send me a proxy or two, which I would submit for him, prior to making my pick.

One of the most important things about a good keeper league is having managers who are willing and able to pay attention and to stay involved, when needed.

If someone knows he can not be available to make a pick when his turn rolls around, then sending a proxy to a manager who chooses after him is a great idea. It also means the second manager does not have to keep checking back to see if the first guy ever bothered to show up.

Beyond that, not choosing during your 3-hour block is making a choice, too. You'll get back to the league whenever you can.
