60 million dollar theme league

Now that we are full, we should probably get started on housekeeping. Lanier started this, so he should probably get final decision on how we do this, but from what I read above, I think we are looking at $60 million league in which you can have two players who are over $3 million and everyone else has to be under $3 million.

First, we should probably all check in, especially those who expressed interest up to a week ago before the list was made:

Do the two players have to be 1 hitter and 1 pitcher? or could they be 2 hitters or 2 pitchers?

Are we live drafting some and then auto drafting the rest? If so, will the live draft be just 2 rounds (2 expensive players), or, as Dukie suggested, should we autodraft 4 rounds?

DH or no DH?

any other decision we need to make?

I doubt we'd be ready before friday anyway, but it makes sense to hold off on running the autodraft until after the switch.

I would like to keep lanier64's theme of one pitcher and one position player at any price and everyone else under $3M. This should be a $60M league, I guess.

I think the two players should be fixed until the waivers process at least, and then maybe you could trade them or swap out for someone else, but it should always be one hitter and one pitcher.

I definitely think this should be done as an ILC draft. I like hackra's idea of the 3 round, 4 player draft.

I would prefer no DH, especially since that is the default for ATG leagues.

Everything so far seems OK by me however I would stipulate a value above which (such as 7, 8 or 9 mil) the 1 pitcher and 1 hitter should be. DH or no DH doesn't matter to me. Unique ballparks would be cool too, maybe a fifth round to pick 'em?

My preference would be $60 mil. 10%drop penalty DH (my last league like this was no-DH)

I think a total autodraft would be fine, but if we do a live draft, a short one is my preference (otherwise it takes a lot of time)

It needs to be clear if our "any price" players are 1 hitter, 1 pitcher (I prefer to allow literally "any price" rather than mandate each be over a certain $ amount). I also think that we should be allowed to freely trade around or drop our 2 "any price" players as long as we do not have more than 2 of them at any time. I also am leaning to it being only 1 pitcher and 1 hitter of "any price" or at least no more than 1 hitter over $3.

A minor point, but I think the original idea was under $3 mil. for most players, meaning that the exactly $3.00 mil. guys would not qualify. That should be clarified as well.

Wordy, but I am willing to go along with whatever as long as the rules are stated up front and followed.
