I voiced a bit earlier that Strat MAY have [i:07e821f8a3]some[/i:07e821f8a3] short AND long-term customer attrition from this hiatus, but it will have far MORE if they return before 99% of the problems are vetted and repaired.

At that point, they could do something like a "loyalty bonus" for those who already have bought credits, and/or an "introductory program" with reduced rates for X time.

I am someone who spends at least 3-4 hours on Strat a day, in addition to a full plate otherwise. I miss the game, will welcome it back, but not if it is a [i:07e821f8a3]shiit show[/i:07e821f8a3] when it DOES return.

That is my two cents.

I am hoping they do some sort of a discount for existing customers. If that happens I will be happy to have had the delay. But I will admit that if they don't I think it would be a pretty bad sign on SOM's degree of commitment to the online game. I do not doubt Bernie's commitment at all, and in the end I think SOM will do the right thing.

I really think it would be next to impossible to give free credits to all, and how to determine what is fair? Does the guy that plays one team at a time get the same as the guy that plays 10 or 20? The guy thats been here a month compared to someone ten years? As I said it would be next to impossible to do this.

[b:ccc1aeedae]My guess is an offer for a limited time (or quantity) to purchase a 5-pack at 49.99. is more likely.[/b:ccc1aeedae]

That would work for me too Nev. Something along those lines will hopefully be done.

Artie is correct they are better off getting it right than delivering a product that is going to disappoint. I don't spend as much time on the game as some but it is a part of my morning routine that's missed. I'm hopeful that this move will lead to future improvements and someday we will all be laughing about the time we had to go cold turkey without the game. :D
