The above post refers to the post waivers (from one week ago!) Barnstormers season 2 league. Everyone in the league managed to get in compliance with the cap when waivers were "unfrozen" except of course for Schimpf who hasn't touched his team in a week.

Now we've been told that game resumption is imminent and have been asked to have our teams ready to play -- for several days now.

And yet this team continues to be illegal by being over 4+ million over the salary cap.

Evidently his latest "thing" appears to be blatant disregard of the rules in addition to his trademark ethically marginal behavior.

Doesn't seem to be much "marginal" in this latest bit of cheating. Man, ya gotta wonder what goes on in some guys' heads. At least play the game straight.

Some People ...

just cannot win on talent alone. I feel bad for them. They grow up thinking they need to win no matter how you accomplish that goal. It is a bad reflection on society.

Maybe the Owner (gkhd11a) can't live with the delays and has decided to butt out - without having the courtesy to say so.

I'd be willing to use my last credit and take over this team on a "filler" basis - I'm already in another league, but am way down on the ATG learning curve. I could have the initial drops to compliance made within a few hours - so other league members would have a shot at the players dropped.

Who makes the "call" - Moose or bernieh?

Schimpf is one of three guys left on the Barnstormers Board of Directors after I quit just before Moose fired me. Be great if he left the game but it's not too likely.

Not that it matter all that much Petro but Bernie has already been asked to look over all Barnstormers leagues for Event 2 and to manually correct all situations of rosters over the cap. And when game resumption is announced, I'll be monitoring and prodding to be sure everything is on the up and up. I have heard from some players that they are not able to make adjustments on their own to clear up some of these "over" issues or are even having trouble making drops and adds.
