Ok here's my situation: I'm in a theme league where I can only have players from the NL Central and I currently have Oswalt with 7-10 with an ERA of over 6 and a WHIP over 1.50 at game 132. I've had great success with Glendon Rusch on past teams and he's available right now. I was wondering what you guys think of dropping Oswalt at the deadline to pick up Rusch. What would you do in my situation??

Depends on your current standings I guess, solid lead? Then No, play the odds of 4 great starts outta him. A game or two out, I would still say NO, but thats upto you. Not in the chase at all, then why the hell not I say, go for it....

I know, that didnt help at all, but thats whatcha asked for isnt it?

Thanks for the reply Leo. I forgot to include a link to my team. Here it is: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/2005/team/team_other.html?user_id=15209 Im currently 3 games behind the division leader but I have the wild card by 2 games.

I would stick with Oswalt. He is a *SP, making him available for game 5 if you hold on the wild card. Oswalt remains your best bet if a game 5 occurs.

I've had terrible experiences with both Rusch and Oswalt but given the lower # of LHB in your division I'd stick with Oswalt. How 'bout upgrading 2b and getting Jose Castillo to help the entire staff out?

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm gonna stick with Oswalt and hope for the best.

Cummings, not sure I want to take away my leadoff hitter vs RHP for an almost automatic out. Yes, Castillo is a '2' but he doesnt't hit nearly as well and he makes more errors than Jimenez. Thanks for the advice though.
