I like the 7 keepers suggestion. The post I made in the ILC forum re franchise players, steal round, etc. was just an example of a current league I'm in. Just some food for thought. Maybe in future rounds ? :wink:

Oh, I get the question. I think once you declare your keepers, you have to at least start the season with them, unless you make a trade. Declaring keepers and then dumping them after the draft should not be allowed.. During the season is a different story. If you're willing to take the salary hit, I don't see why not. JMHO.

Yes. Teams 2 and 4 are definitely available.

Horntsnst has interest in Team 3, so we're holding that for now.

It is an 80 mil., no-DH regular league. EXCEPT
that we played one season already and want to play again!

Choose one of the owner-less teams.
Protect 7 players.
Draft is worst-to-first record from previous season, NFL rules. I believe teams 2 and 4 are Gypsies and Chefs (off top of my head).
I think the draft will be 6 or 7 rounds.
Then, we autodraft the remainder (those already on the roster go at the bottom of the draft card).
Must keep the 7 players into the start of the season.

Team #3 is The Rainbow Gypsies and I'll definitely take the team unless I can't use Penn's site, in which case I would have to withdraw.....I wish there was a way to test it...just a couple more things...
1. are the divisions staying the same? I like that idea a lot ...
2. do we have to use the same stadiums? I like that idea a lot too :D
3. When is this shcedualed to take place?
Again as for Penn's site, my computer (an old Mac) doesn't have Flash, and that's why I have problems on Penn's site...

With only a 6 round live draft, doing it on the boards should not be too painful It's just that I've been travelling quite a bit lately and being able to use the proxies is great. With this short a draft we should be fine, though. Welcome aboard Mr. Nest!

2. There was mention back on our league mail board about wanting to change parks. I don't remember who, but I thought that it was an OK idea. Hey, we're letting MM relocate the Shebtown Muskies (now Munich Germaniacs 62). ;)

3. The draft will take place once we have all the new owners filled.

Hey, MM, any thoughts on the timeframe for how we announce protected players? Do we announce them right before the draft... like a round?

Also, Hornet - I have set up another chat in the "Individual League Chat" under "Replay Keeper Chat", most of the rules, draft order, etc. is in that thread.
