Welcome to the 80's Paul... It's a ton of fun, and it looks like you did your homework for the first team you drafted.
I like your defense with the McGee pick up. Hitting is a nice mix of slugging and on-base. I'd probably drop Bailor and save the cash as it looks like you have adaquate back-ups in every fielding position. Also, I wouldn't expect a lot from Boones bat.
Pitching is another story...I've stayed away from Welch because I think he is overpriced for what you get, and there are lower WHIP options out there for a lot less money. The pen is where I would do the most work if this was my team. Cerutti, Grant and Heaton wouldn't be my dream relievers, and you don't need them to spot start with your starting rotation. I'd keep Heaton to maintain the roster requirements as he's the lowest priced and I always seem to need the money later.
I'd drop Welch for a lower WHIP option, drop Bailor, and use the money saved to upgrade my pen.
Of course it always depends on the cards!! Have fun.

I agree with Jimmy C that you should replace Cerruti and Grant with 2 regular RPs. You should get ones that cost less than 1m. I also agree about dropping Bailor. In addition, unless there are at least 50% LH SP in your division I would look to replace Robby Thompson at 2B as he hits LHP well but is not that great vs RHP. Generally speaking you will face around 70% RHP during the course of the season. If you can't get a decent hitting 2 fielder for 2B I think a good hitting 3 fielder would be ok. Guys like Sax, Oberkfell and Ray. If nothing else you might look at Wilfong or Remy to platoon with Thompson. Some people will never use a 3 at 2B or SS under any circumstances except as backups so take that advice for what it may or may not be worth. I think you can get by with one 3 at 2B or SS. I would never put one in CF however.

Yeah, the pen looks like it could use some work.
You could also use some LH bats, you are pretty skewed to the Right.
It is nice to pick up the -3 arms at catcher to prevent the stolen bases, but, then again, I never have played in a league yet where a team won just because they had good base stealers. I have had better luck with catchers like Jody Davie, Ernie Whitt, guys with 3(0) ratings, but with pop.
McGee probably won't help you much, you are going to want to score runs, not have defensive replacements.
Wrigley is a hitter's park, and your hitters probably don't have the oomph to keep you in all the games.
(And your BP doesn't look likie it is going to keep you in those games late either.)
Clark, Joyner, Molitor, all helpful. Bell and Hendrick are very similar, I have had luck with Hayes, but you won't get much from Thompson, SS or Boone. Just seems to leave too many holes in the lineup, especially when the opposition trots out Righty after Righty against you.
Of course, a lot has to do with what HAL has planned for your league, watch how they play for you and adjust accordingly.

Your SP has potential to ber very, very good. Reardon should be a good enough closer, unless you get one of his gopher ball cards. In Wrigley that will kill you.
I'd keep Boone. There is a chance he'll hit enough in Wrigley field (he has three decent years with the bat). I like having the -3 because it keeps more baserunners anchored to 1B, allowing for DP chances. I don't dig Robby Thompson or Buechele, as they walk so little. They do play more than adequate DEF, however, and are cheap. Maybe they'll hit, too. "Taco" Bell also doesn't draw walks, and is a DP threat (most years, though, will drive in runs, and has some "God" years that would be a boon).
Jack Clark is going to be all over the basepaths for you, and bashing dingers in Wrigley.
All in all, this seems to be a pitching/defense squad, with numerous hitters who don't draw a lot of walks, but are capable of good power numbers. It is not a team with blazing speed, but it may not need it. Think the RP is pretty iffy at this point, but that's the way 80s is at the beginning, anyway.
