ALIGNED FRANCHISES VER. 2 -NEED YOUR VOTE ON TRADING????

Our historical single season sets

Postby STEPHENANDERSON 2 » Mon May 08, 2006 5:08 pm

I took Fenway as my park... of course. Wanna see Frankie hit 70 (he hit 73 in my last league at Fenway).. like to see Petro through in 50 to 60.... maybe Epstein, Yaz and Reggie hit 35 to 40 a piece.... maybe Andrews, Moses and McMullen hit 15 to 25 a piece... and maybe Scott and Tony could hit 10 a piece in a part time role.  Just a wish list. Maybe my pitchers will give up less runs that we score.

But it don't matter. 12 playoff teams...... no world series...... that covers 01, 02, 03 ,05 and 69. I feel like the current Atlanta Braves 14 straight divisions... only 1 world series.

But, once again. its the thrill of victory and the 99.95/24.95 out of pocket.

Best of luck to everyone.

Keep in mind that the last aligned franchise theme we did allowed for trades. CATom played in Yankee stadium with little LH power and no Jimmy Wynn so this HTN/NYY team will be much different I am sure.

No free agents either. Little hard to use them when all 24 teams are in play.

Haven't decided if I want to do round 3 or not. do have another 1969 credit coming though so I might unless I need to transfer any of them to 2006 for Championship leagues or to 2005 to tke another shot at winning an 05 ring :(

ALIGNED FRANCHISES VER. 2 - ALLOW TRADES ????

Postby rschwartz51 » Mon May 08, 2006 7:02 pm

Because I posted the league as having no trades or FA I need for the managers who have signed up to vote yes or no on having trades>

I have to admit I can't even remember having trades. This could be because I had the Bost/Wash combo and they did win it all so maybe I didn't think much about it.

We did allow trading in the last version. However, I like the idea of just playing with the teams you have.

My vote is no trading.

However, I'm in either way.

I'm a newcomer here and had the number 10 pick. But I like the concept and vote no trading as well.

Now, at midseason when my team is in the tank I may have to reconsider. :)

I agree with no trades. But I do think teams drafting 9-12 should be able to pick up from the free agent pool to land a role player, platoon player or pitcher that the other teams couldn't fit into their $100 mil roster! Just an idea as I noticed some of the teams had alot of $50K players on the roster.

No trading... :)...every team had a combo team salary of over 115 mil available so I don't believe there should be free agent pickups either imo... :)

Based on votes received I'm keeping to no trades or FA.

No trades is good with me as well. It will keep me from ruining this combo like I did the Giants/White Sox. Some how I ended up with Eddie Brinkman in my lineup!
