Personally, I would get rid of the catcher platoon and get opne big set-up man---a R3 probably à la Carasco. With Schmidt-2006 dition as your ace, needless to say that they won't get deep many times at Coors. In Jeter, you already have a lead-off, and I don't agree with having both Mauer and Jeter as 1-2 in Coors---I believe a strong powerful hitter must be hitting #2, particularly in Coors---Roberts would be great there.

For catchers, I would either keep McCann with a platoon with Stinett, get Fasano, or get Greene (yeah, the 0.73M one---he gave me .450 slugging in Comiskey.

I love that all-lefty platoon, but you're probably right. My main concern at this point is lack of depth in the bullpen - nobody is really dominant and most of my RP's are R1s.

What about playing McCann vs. both left & right?

Well, McCann is not bad as an everyday catcher, but if you add Stinnett in your line-up, you just give yourself much more options: McCann is a lefty, and had more on-base vs rhp, Stinett is a right-handed hitter, and has more slugging vs rhp. So depeding on which pitchers you are facing and where you are playing, you can choose the best candidte. And you need a back-up anyway. Ross offers the same option, but he costs a bit more.

I added [b:3e123ffa55]Mike Rose[/b:3e123ffa55] and [b:3e123ffa55]Al Reyes[/b:3e123ffa55]. Rose playes some pretty ugly "D", but for .65M, the dude hits righties pretty nicely. I went very cheap at catcher so that I could afford Reyes as my setup man. Stinnett not available.

Does this team look like a good fit for [b:3e123ffa55]Coors Field[/b:3e123ffa55]? Mike Hampton doesn't look all that great, but there's a Minute Maid in the division and I wanted a lefty in my rotation.

Wondering about the relief settings...

I've got Gonzalez set as setup vs. Left. That's the only slot I've filled.

For Reyes I've checked "Avoid Blowouts" and "Slow Hook". For some of the others, I've checked Avoid Left/Right.

I'm hoping Gonzalez will pitch a lot and face lots of lefties. The goal is for Reyes to pitch a lot of innings in close games. Will HAL give Reyes enough quality innings, or should I put Reyes in both of the setup slots?

I'd go Reyes S.U. both. but I don't know how your div/league are forming, if it's Safeco central then I'd prob. keep it the way you posted above.

As far as C. Is Moeller avail.? I've had some reasonable seasons from him, and his defense holds some ground. I'd be reluctant of the +3 arm knowing only coors and MM in your div.

In your 60 Mil. NL league earlier on I played Hampton in coors -My team, in your division was "Life by the Drop", just in case you want some stats. though they are in a 60 mil league. I'd also look at Redman (whom I also played in that team) -if you want a lefty.

I like schoeneweis but between your rotation, pen and park, don't you think it's likely he'll face lots of righties? -if so would it be a possibility to split him into to specs or 1 lefty spec around .5 -like Sauerback and use the rest elsewhere?
