Made adjustments and tweaks from the first Petco team and came up with a 102 win team second time around, in a division that included teams with 93 and 87 wins. Team finished 2nd in runs scored, first in pitching. Overall, a very successful team. Have another one playing .700 ball after 57 games. Proof to me anyways, there is another way to build a successful Petco team other than the typical "good starting pitchers" strategy. Next on the aggenda....Coors or Cell with stud starters and cheap hitters!!!!
By the way, is there anyone who thinks Clemens or Pedro would have had any better success than Moyer had with this the team below? I'm guessing with $10 less in hitting, while the ERA might have been slightly better, the record itself would have been worse.
