That's the great thing about the 80's. A guy with a low salary is more than capable of doing the job of a player with a significantly higher salary.
In this case, if you are confident Bedrosian has one of his good years, absolutely, Quiz is expendable. I've always thought that Quisenberry was a bit overpriced to begin with...but if you have one of his better years, I suppose he's pretty good. So, the question you have to ask yourself is: How desperate are you to improve you deficiencies vs LH hitters? Can it wait a little longer...so you can give Quiz some more time to either shape up or confirm that he has one of his bad years?
If you cannot wait any longer, then losing Quiz's salary should free up enough cash to get you something good vs LH in return (assuming you're still in within the first 42 games of the season). Just a quick question. Why are you going after two SPs if you are cutting Quiz and McWilliams? Wouldn't you want to replace a RP with a RP? A couple of guys I'd look at, who are usually available, are Mark Davis and Don Robinson. And for SP, I'd also consider Dan Schatzeder and Floyd Bannister.
