My experience is limited, but a valid argument could be made that good pitching will defeat good hitting most of the time. In these 12-team leagues - especially at the $200M cap - everyone has three, if not four, good pitchers. On a real team, you'd be lucky to have more than two that are consistantly good.
That said, in one of my leagues I've seen Jody Davis rack up a pair of grand slams in one game and in another Valenzuela is winless after 3 starts w/ and ERA over 5.
Note: These are observations made after nine games looking at three leagues (2 80M and 1 200M).
