Killer - Not bad. But can be better.
[b:da3b18bc07]Dump Gruber. [/b:da3b18bc07]He's totally worthless on your team. Boggs and Fernandez can't get hurt, and Gruber can't hit.
[b:da3b18bc07]Dump Palmeiro. [/b:da3b18bc07]He can't hit. Since you're new, you may be unaware of the symbols. The # symbol means ballpark HR. And since you are in a pitchers' park, assume those # on his card will basically never roll on HR. Also, the $ symbol means clutch. All $ out rolls become Single** in the clutch. However, all $ single rolls turn into outs. And pinch hitters are often coming in to hit in the clutch. So, Palmeiro, at home, in the clutch, against RHP, is a .243 obp. And he can't field.
Your [b:da3b18bc07]Brunansky/Reynolds [/b:da3b18bc07]platoon in RF is not good for your park. Bruno has the max 8 ball park HR(#), which gets wasted in Oakland, and Reynolds has 3 (#), plus negative clutch and an e15 rating. (The e rating of a fielder equates to roughly the number of errors you should expect over the course of a full season.)
[b:da3b18bc07]Juan Samuel is a concern.[/b:da3b18bc07] He has a REALLY low obp. Yes, his speed is nice, but he has to get on base in order to use the speed. And his 3 defensive rating at 2B will hurt your pitching.
On the flip side, I like Webster in LF. I am intrigued by the Moseby/Dernier platoon. I like Boggs, Fernandez, and Joyner. I think your catching platoon is OK.
You pitching seems pretty good, however I would dump Saberhagen and Jackson. Sure, you could spot start them, but they are going to be mediocre at best in relief. You want pure relievers (no SP rating). There's an argument for keeping Saberhagen since he leans to the left and the rest of your SP lean to the right or is balanced. But Jackson's $1.29 is wasted.
I would combine Samuel, Reynolds, Brunansky, Gruber, Jackson, and Palmeiro's $$ ($6.22) to upgrade 2B and RF, and then fill whatever bench holes remain with three specialists.
Good luck.
