All is good.
Let me state now about season 7.
We need to really look at the rules when considering what the cap is... quite frankly this season makes me nauseated to even consider. An 80m cap with these rules competey limits the ability to have any creativity in developing a team. I can't speak for what others are looking at, but unless I am wiling to have 4 sub $3m hitters in my lineup, I have NO flexibility at all. Unless I am missing something, I am FORCED to use a 12M CF and a 5+M one sided, slow HR adjustment 3B in a small ball park. Sure doesn't leave a whole lot of options when over 21% of your salary is spent on two players that don't fit your or the rest of the leagues ballparks.
And the LIVE draft portion is a joke.... you could virtually skip me the entire time and it wouldn't have much of an affect on my team.
Having all 1's defensively, 500AB/200IP live draft requirement, plus teams can limit your options by protecting 10 players, pitchers parks... all fine ON THEIR OWN MERITS.... combined together with an 80M cap and it it is somewhat overbearing.
Almost forgot, there may be teams that can't meet the first rule requirements... very bad! If there are any teams that have to start a 2 on defense, then eveyone should be allowed to do the same.
[quote:16a2eafd69]...but mostly this forces a defense, speed, and pitching approach. That's why I called it the "Small Ball" theme league. I'm sure this will backfire and my team will still be average to below average, but that was my theory behind this theme. It wasn't a totally blind strategy.

The defense is mandatory... I will have very little speed and no pitching in my forced approach.
Creativity and choice is good, this set of rules/cap is not. I guess spending $25 and being told who my roster will be, by and large, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
