Count me out of this league. I will not be punked like I am stupid. This has been too much work from the beginning, we have a commissioner who is condescending, rude and wrong, even though I have stuck up for him and thanked him in every post. I do not come here to be treated like I am stupid. And NOBODY talks to me the way he did in a PM. I do not know who he thinks he is but he totally contradicted himself and then responded to my question with utter rudeness. My boss does not talk to me that way! If I needed this kind of trouble, I would go looking for it. I treat everyone with respect and dignity and I WILL be treated with the same. For everyone else I apologize, for the inconvenience, but the day I let some Strato geek punk me and say nothing is the day I am six feet under. Some of you may be angry that I have droped out(some may be happy, my spot should be easy to fill). I thought you should know the reason/reasons. I have been nothing but polite to ninersphan, thanking him in almost every post, and sticking up for him when there was the draft lotto controversy.

Skip back to last night when I posted a question to ninersphan about our 3 free agents. He responded back to me (in a PM) with such utter rudeness ,and a condescending tone that if we had been in the same room I doubt he would have said what he wrote. He acted like I am stupid(after all my thank yous) and said the question had been answered three times already. Well in fact it had not been answered 3 times! He also claimed that his original post did NOT say we must keep our 3 free agents and not drop them, or trade them. Czar had answered my question but since he is not commissioner I wanted to be sure since rules were changing.

I will not be spoken to like I am stupid, especially after thanking him so many times, and even sticking up for him(see any earlier posts by me)when we had the lottery snafu. It is not worth it to me to be talked to like I am a moron. Here is his original post:

I would post the PM he sent me but it was so outrageous and rude that I deleted it immediately,..in anger.

Call me old fashion, or just call me polite, but I speak to people the way I expect to be spoken to(whether they are standing right next to me or hundreds of miles away), and ninersphan all but called me stupid. That is not going to happen by some faceless person who does not know me,.... from hundreds of miles away. Therefore he must be taught a lesson on how to communicate with people. Where I come from,... and have been, if someone pops off like he did in the PM, they are looking at a fat lip or worse. Violence is never the 1st or best answer, and I try to avoid such matters at all costs, but if he does not learn the easy way(like this) someone will end up teaching him the hard way.

You treat others the way you want to be treated. And it was not just his rudeness and ignorance but also the fact that; he was wrong about what he was saying. He has contradicted himself several times. That is what happened, and I am sticking to my principles. And as crazy as You may think this sounds, part of the reason is,.. for his own good. He needs to learn how to communicate with people in a polite and courteous manner, even if they are hundreds of miles away, and a faceless name.

I am sorry for the trouble, but I have principles, and I am not going to be in a league with someone who can not respect others . It just is not worth it,....my boss would not dare speak to me that way. And this is supposed to be fun,...not work. I wish the rest of you much fun and luck. Sorry rmilter, I certianly didn't mean for my PM to you to be condesending. I was in a hurry this morning when I typed it out and did not mean for it to be that way. I apologize if I've offended you, that was not my intent. Tone is VERY hard to read in a wrtten statement. and again I certianly did not meean for it to come across the way it did.

I'll clarify the rule, when I said in my original post that the 3 players remain on "your team" what I meant, and you are right I wasn't clear, was simply that they could not be traded, they are yours , you can keep them active or not, your choice. Had I been more clear from the beginnning there would be no confusion on your part. Your Team consists of the entire roster of 2 MLB teams and those 3 free agents, if you want to shuttle guys back and forth you can, assuming you can meet the salary constraints. That's what I meant by you have to keep them.

I had not answered youir question in the league chat bceause MLBinfoczar answered it so well and I figured once he had there was no point in repeating the same thing.

Again accept my apology.

as I said before I've run several leagues and have not been accused of being Condesending or arrogant in any of them, ask around, I'm usually seen as a peacemaker and someone who can work through differences.

I hope you can forgive me for my post, and take me at my word that I was simply in a hurry and did not do a good job of proofreading to be sure that it did not come off as arrogant. In fact I just looked at it again, and while I can see how you could read it to be Condesending and arrogant, beleive me when I say that wasn't the case, if it had been it would have been worse. You can post it here if you so desire and let everyone else decide.

However if you are still bothered I'd rather it was me that dropped out than you, I'll recruit a replacement for my team and you stay and enjoy the league. If my being a part of it, ruins that enjoyment, as I said I'll go.

Please accept my apology and I hope you reconsider and we can put this behind us and just play the season.
